I am honored to serve as President of our American Culinary Federation chapter. My focus is on keeping our chapter engaged, welcoming, and growing while supporting education, mentorship, and hands-on learning. I’m committed to creating a space where seasoned professionals, emerging culinarians, and industry partners can connect, share knowledge, and work together to uphold our craft and shape the future of our profession.

Greeting Chefs,

We have just completed our, very successful, 34th Annual Professional Chef Competition and Tasting. Congratulations to all of our competitors and thank-you to everyone that worked or volunteered on this great event. I would also like to thank our sponsors that made this event possible.

 

Please join us for our March Dinner meeting on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Zehnder's of Frankenmuth.

First Course Michigan Apple & Fennel Bisque, Crème fraîche • chive oil • cracked pink peppercorn

 

Second Course Spring Vegetable & Goat Cheese Tart, Buttery puff pastry • whipped herbed goat cheese
Asparagus • leek • pea • lemon zest • micro herbs • White balsamic drizzle

Main Course Seared Pork Tenderloin, Michigan dried cherry demi-glace • Parmesan and Herb Boursin whipped potatoes

We are pleased to have Chuck and Ingrid Barrett from Frankenmuth, owners of Ingi’s Microgreens and Nordic Knife Sharpeners, as part of our educational segment. Chefs and guests are invited to bring their favorite knife for Chuck to sharpen.

** As a perk for our members, you may bring one or two knives to this meeting to be sharpened free of charge, courtesy of your chapter.

** Guests can also have one or two knives sharpened at a cost of $5.00 per knife, payable directly to Chuck Barrett.
